PEI associate, Kiersten Amos, demonstrated McInnes Cooper’s commitment to creating an inclusive workplace environment in her presentation to the business community during PEI Pride week. Kiersten educated employers, managers and human resources specialists that while it may not be intended, some polices may have discriminatory consequences if they are not carefully worded. Reviewing your policies, having management visibly support an inclusive workplace, and educating all employees, will help foster an inclusive workplace culture.
