About Chris

Chris is a Partner in the firm’s Halifax office whose practice is focused in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and securities law. He regularly advises clients on the purchase and sale of businesses and various other corporate and commercial transactions; the negotiation and drafting of credit, security, lease, license and other agreements; the organization and formation of corporations, partnerships and joint ventures; and general corporate, regulatory and governance matters.

Chris is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society, the Law Society of Ontario and the Canadian Bar Association, and is an associate of the American Bar Association. He served as Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Governance Committee of Feed Nova Scotia, and is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Development.

Prior to joining McInnes Cooper, Chris was in-house legal counsel with a prominent Canadian wealth management company, and he has also worked as an associate in the Toronto office of a major Canadian law firm.
