Ryan’s practice is focused on Labour & Employment, Education Law, and Litigation. Ryan regularly provides advice to employers on a wide array of Labour & Employment law matters including employee discipline, employee termination, employment contracts, wrongful dismissal claims, and workplace investigations. His practice also involves advising employers with respect to grievances, collective agreement interpretation, labour relations, and human rights issues.
Ryan has appeared before labour arbitrators as well as the Supreme Court of Prince Edward Island. He has also been involved in providing labour and employment related seminars on a wide variety of matters, including workplace harassment, workplace investigations, managing employee sick leave, and management rights.
Ryan received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of New Brunswick Law School in 2013. Prior to attending law school, Ryan graduated from the University of New Brunswick in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Chemistry.
Ryan is a member of the Law Society of Prince Edward Island and the Canadian Bar Association. He is also a board member of the Construction Association of Prince Edward Island and the Nature Conservancy of Canada, Atlantic Region.
