About McInnes Cooper’s New Partners

Teddy Comeau (Halifax) practices in the areas of residential and commercial real estate. He represents lenders, investors and developers during commercial real estate transactions involving commercial and multi-unit residential developments, and frequently supports senior advisors with the acquisition, sale, financing and planning of such developments.

Trent Skanes (St. John’s) practices in the commercial technology and privacy law area, and has also has extensive experience with multi-year commercial arbitrations in the energy and construction sectors. In addition to his experience in dispute resolution, he currently assists high-growth companies with commercializing their operations and works with mature organizations and institutions to implement new technology-related initiatives. Trent has particular expertise in drafting and negotiating technology-related agreements and ensuring companies develop and maintain appropriate data protection regimes.

Managing Partner, Kevin Kiley, expresses his excitement to welcome two esteemed colleagues into the partnership. “We are very proud of the many accomplishments of Teddy and Trent in their careers to date, and we look forward to their continued contributions as Partners of the firm.”
