January 29, 2015
Congratulations to McInnes Cooper lawyer Dan Wallace on winning the 2015 Zöe Odei Young Lawyer’s Award. The award was established by the CBA in 2003 to honour and recognize a young lawyer’s distinguished or exceptional service to the Canadian Bar Association and the community or charitable causes.
Dan was co-counsel for Dennis Manuge and over 7,500 disabled Canadian Forces veterans in the class action Manuge v. Canada, 2012 FC 499, which resulted in one of the largest financial recoveries in Canadian legal history. Dan is also a part-time professor at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University and a volunteer counsel for the Halifax Refugee Clinic, where he represents refugee claimants before the Immigration and Refugee Board.
Congratulations Dan!
