About Olivia

Olivia’s practice focuses on privacy and intellectual property law, as well as health law, professional regulation, and litigation. During her articles, Olivia provided support on a wide variety of privacy and tech matters, such as those involving the legal obligations and potential liabilities faced by tech companies launching novel AI technologies in Canada. Olivia has also researched the application of PIPEDA to professional regulatory bodies, drafted privacy policies, prepared training materials on privacy best practices, and provided privacy breach management support.

With respect to professional regulation and litigation, Olivia supports clients through regulatory proceedings, advises on regulatory bylaws and policies, and provides education to members of regulated professions on regulatory processes, legislative changes, and trends in professional regulation. Holding a Masters of Health Administration, Olivia also has an interest in health law. From MAID eligibility, to mandatory reporting obligations, Olivia has researched and provided opinions on a wide range of health law issues.

Off the clock, Olivia enjoys volunteering in her community, travelling, playing piano, and spending time with family, friends, and her two dogs. As a retired athlete who competed at the Canadian Olympic Swimming Trials, Olivia also enjoys keeping active. You can often find her swimming, attending spin classes, practicing yoga, or running in Point Pleasant Park.
