Nick is an associate in the firm's Halifax office whose practice focuses on corporate and commercial law, insurance law, and general litigation. He represents clients at all levels of court in Nova Scotia.
Nick advises clients on contract, business, shareholder, construction, and property disputes. He also maintains a diverse insurance defence practice, defending claims involving alleged professional negligence, property damage, personal injury, and subrogation matters. Nick's clients include municipalities and other quasi-government entities, insurance companies, property owners, contractors, subcontractors, other parties in the construction industry, financial institutions, and private clients.
Nick obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Mary’s University, where he captained the Varsity football team and received the School’s President’s Award for excellence in Academics, Athletics and Community Service. He was a multiple-time Academic All-Canadian, a Dean’s List recipient, and earned an invitation to participate in the 2018 CFL Regional Combine. He continues to pursue his love of football and community service through coaching with Saint Mary’s University.
While in law school, Nick continued his commitment to community service by volunteering with the Dalhousie Student Advocacy Society, Football Nova Scotia and the NSSAF. Prior to his legal career, Nick worked in Nova Scotia’s commercial fishing, construction, fitness, and hospitality industries.
Outside the office, you can find Nick playing or watching sports, exercising, travelling, and volunteering within his community.
