Myriam is an Associate in our Fredericton office with a broad practice encompassing general corporate and business law, corporate governance, real estate, entertainment law and a growing practice in business immigration.
Myriam understands the importance of immigration to the economic growth of our region. Whether in the health care, technology, agriculture, corporate sector or beyond, Myriam helps her clients fill important skill gaps within their workforce and retain competitive global talent.
Myriam commonly assists her clients with various immigration matters including issuance and renewal of Temporary Work Permits, Applications for Permanent Residency or Canadian Citizenship, Procurement of Labour Market Impact Assessments and more.
Before beginning her legal career, Myriam worked in government as a Page in the House of Commons, and later as Parliamentary Assistant to the Member of Parliament for Fredericton. Her political involvement is where her interest in the law began. Through her experience working in the public sector, Myriam has developed a deep understanding of the government and institutions legal sector.
Myriam is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Law Society of New Brunswick, York-Sunbury Law Society and currently serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors of CISV Fredericton, a local Not-For-Profit focused on building peace and healthy child development through global friendships. She is also a member of McInnes Cooper’s Diversity & Inclusion Working Group and CSR Committee. Myriam has done extensive pro bono work for clients in the not-for-profit sector, including various cultural associations and organizations within the province.
In her spare time, Myriam enjoys playing music, attending sporting events and concerts, and spending time with family and friends.
