Mélanie is a bilingual lawyer with a practice focused in litigation, insurance defence, insolvency and estate planning. Her background is primarily in litigation, having represented clients before the Court of Queen’s Bench and the provincial courts. Mélanie has extensive experience with negotiations, drafting contracts and preparing court applications.
Before joining McInnes Cooper, Mélanie practiced in Alberta, gaining significant litigation experience. In addition, she gained experience in real estate matters, estate planning and litigation, and probate administration.
Mélanie is always keen to volunteer and be involved in the community; she previously served on the Board of Directors for Wetaskiwin and District Victim Services in Alberta and looks forward to contributing to the community in Moncton. When Mélanie is not working, she enjoys traveling, culinary arts, sports and spending time with her family and their rescue dog, Oakley.
