About Mélanie

Mélanie is a bilingual lawyer with a practice focused in estate planning and litigation (including insurance defence, insolvency and estate litigation). Her background is primarily in litigation, having represented many clients before the Court of Queen’s Bench and the provincial courts. Mélanie has extensive experience with negotiations, drafting contracts and preparing court applications.

Before joining McInnes Cooper, Mélanie practiced in Alberta, where she gained significant litigation experience. In addition, she gained experience in real estate matters, estate planning and probate administration.

Mélanie is always keen to volunteer and enjoys being involved in the community. She is involved with McInnes Cooper’s Collective Social Responsibility program (CSR), for which she has chaired the Moncton Committee for 2021 and 2022.

When Mélanie is not working, she enjoys traveling, culinary arts, sports and spending time with her family and their rescue dog, Oakley.
