About Mélanie

Mélanie is a lawyer in our Moncton office with a practice focused mostly in estates and financial matters. In addition to her significant Litigation experience, Mélanie enjoys Estate Planning, Probate and representing executors/trustees in the administration of estates and trusts. Her Litigation practice includes Estate Litigation, Financial Recovery and Insolvency matters.

Originally from New Brunswick, Mélanie is fluent in both French and English. Before joining McInnes Cooper, Mélanie practiced in Alberta, where she gained significant court experience. She obtained her law degree from University of Alberta and is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Law Society of New Brunswick and the Law Society of Alberta. She is also a member of STEP Canada and is in the process of obtaining her (internationally recognized) TEP Designation.

Mélanie is always keen to volunteer and enjoys being involved in the community. She is heavily involved with McInnes Cooper’s Collective Social Responsibility (CSR) program, for which she has chaired the Moncton Committee for 2021 and 2022. Since moving back to New Brunswick, Melanie has been named as the winner CommunityVotes awards for the best estate lawyers in Moncton – including the platinum winner in 2020.
