Jill’s practice is primarily focused on insurance litigation. She has a range of litigation experience, including accident and personal injury claims, long term disability claims and commercial litigation. Jill has represented clients at the Social Security Tribunal of Canada, Nova Scotia Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal.
With a background as a student athlete, Jill brings her dedication and work ethic to the practice of law. In 2004, she competed on the sprint kayak team in the 2004 Summer Olympic Games in Athens, Greece. She raced in the k-4 500m placing 8th overall. She is a Pan American Games Gold Medalist and competed on the Canadian National Team for a total of eleven years.
Jill is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society and the Canadian Bar Association.
A strong advocate for sport, Jill is a member of the Board of Directors for reachAbility, a High Performance Committee Member with Canoe Kayak Canada, an ambassador for Fast and Female and a Mission Staff Member for Team Nova Scotia – 2019 Winter Canada Games. She enjoys running, paddling, and walking and hiking with her dogs.
