About Fae

Fae is a Partner located in our Halifax office, focusing on business law and corporate finance. She advises a variety of clients on corporate, commercial and securities law matters. Fae is recognized in Lexpert Magazine’s Guide to the Leading 500 Lawyers in Canada. She has also been named Best Lawyers Securities Law “Lawyer of the Year” in Halifax for 2018, 2016 and 2013, as well as the Banking and Finance “Lawyer of the Year” in Halifax for 2019 and 2014. Fae is also ranked in the Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory. She was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2011.

Fae is the Nova Scotia editor of Butterworths Canadian Forms and Precedents – “Private Placements”. She is past Chair of the Advisory Board to the National Research Council – Industrial Research Assistance Program, the Past President of Entrepreneurs’ Forum of Nova Scotia, a Director and Secretary to the Board of the Atlantic Institute for Market Studies, a Director of Strongest Families Institute and a Past Director of the Halifax YWCA and the Victoria General Hospital Foundation. Actively involved in the professional community, Fae is Co-Chair of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society – Service Nova Scotia & Municipal Relations Liaison Committee and Past Chair of the Securities Law section of the Canadian Bar Association, Nova Scotia branch.

Fae received an LLB from Dalhousie Law School in 1983 and was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 1984.
