About Derek
Derek leverages his background in business development and as an entrepreneur in his role as Business Development Manager for Prince Edward Island. He support business development activities on PEI as well as for firm practice groups throughout the region. Having studied law and founded a start-up in Europe, Derek offers a unique, entrepreneurial perspective to our lawyers, clients and business development team. Derek harnesses his natural networking abilities and drive to problem-solve to connect with and provide the best solutions for clients.
Although originally from British Columbia, Derek has lived in different countries in Asia and Europe, giving him the ability to connect with individuals from various backgrounds and work seamlessly within diverse cultural settings.
New to Charlottetown, Derek has quickly developed connections within the community and is involved on the boards and councils of multiple non-profit organizations. In his spare time, Derek enjoys sailing, gardening and, more than anything else, being with his family.
