About Carla

Carla assists with all aspects of collections for secured and unsecured debt including power of sale for financial institutions. She regularly supports the preparation of demand letters; preliminary property searches; setting up payment arrangements; the preparation of documents pertaining to the mortgage sale process; retaining and working with property management companies, appraisers, realtors and trustees; receiving, reviewing and preparing replies to all offers; preparing and submitting claims to mortgage insurers; and preparing and registering judgment documents. She also prepares and drafts legal actions, and assists with the necessary steps to reach judgement enforcements.

Carla has her Business Administration Diploma and has worked in the legal industry for most of her career. In her previous roles, she provided support in diverse areas of law for a sole solicitor, including family law, property transactions, estate planning and re-financing of mortgages for financial institutions.

Outside of work, Carla has devoted countless hours to multiple not-for-profit organizations across Prince Edward Island as a board member, facilitator and as an executive director.
