About Brad

Brad is a corporate lawyer in our St. John’s office, with a practice focused on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and insolvency and financial restructuring.

Brad regularly represents clients on the purchase and sale of businesses, debt and equity financing transactions, private placements and public offerings, real estate transactions, and corporate reorganizations.

Within the energy and natural resources sector, Brad’s experience has been primarily focused on oil and gas, mining, and wind / hydrogen. Brad represents clients on acquisitions and sales of mining projects, as well as equity interests in oil and gas joint ventures, and Brad has specific experience with domestic and cross-border bond offerings, project development and finance, and royalty agreements.

Brad also provides practical solutions to debtors, creditors, monitors, and trustees on insolvency and financial restructuring challenges, including advice on corporate and debt restructuring, debtor/creditor rights enforcement, and bankruptcy. Brad has been involved with some of the most recent groundbreaking restructurings and insolvencies in Ontario, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland and Labrador.

Brad played senior hockey throughout law school and served as co-chair of the Dalhousie contingent at the annual Law Games.

During his undergraduate degree, Brad was the co-chair of the Memorial University chapters of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers and the Royal Institute of Naval Architects, and Brad played junior and senior hockey for the entirety of his undergraduate degree.
