Benoit brings to his practice a background in health care, including a Diploma in Health Sciences and studies in Nursing Sciences, Biology and Biochemistry. He began law school with a New Brunswick Law Foundation Entrance Scholarship and during his legal studies twice received the New Brunswick Law Foundation Merit Scholarship for highest standing in his class.
Benoit practices civil litigation and has appeared in the New Brunswick Court of Queen’s Bench and participated in a number of settlement conferences and mediations. Benoit has a particular focus on insurance matters of all types, and has experience advising and representing insurers in the areas of bodily injury claims, including Section B claims, and errors and omissions claims.
Benoit is a member of the Law Society of New Brunswick and the Canadian Bar Association. In his spare time, he is a goaltender for multiple recreational hockey teams, including the Université de Moncton Law Faculty hockey team, “Les Maladroits”.
