About Ben

Ben has a litigation practice with a focus in insurance defence. During his articles with the firm, he gained extensive experience in personal injury defense matters, including advancing files in the defense of numerous actions involving motor vehicle accidents and slip and falls. Ben has also worked on behalf of clients dealing with actions for breach of contract, employee theft and recovery of property, and vicarious liability in historical sexual abuse claims, amongst others.

Beyond litigation, Ben has a keen interest in labour and employment law, having supported a number of labour and employment files during his articles. He prepared for and attended a Court of Appeal hearing regarding union certification in the construction industry, and has participated in both the mediation and arbitration of union grievances, many of which included human rights complaints.

Off the clock, Ben enjoys playing the guitar and violin, as well as getting outside to golf, play tennis, ski or sail. When he’s not planning his next travel adventure, he loves hosting dinner parties for friends and family.
