Andrea Hewitt joined McInnes Cooper in 2010 as the firm’s Collective Social Responsibility (CSR) Coordinator. In that role, Andrea works with Special Advisor Danny Graham to lead the firm’s CSR initiative, which includes community engagement, environmental stewardship and pro bono legal services.
Andrea liaises with community partner organizations and coordinates internal initiatives to engage all members of the firm in meaningful volunteer work. She supports our CSR committees and working groups with ongoing guidance and resources, and she is the lead coordinator of firm-wide initiatives.
She worked closely with Free the Children to develop a unique sponsorship role for McInnes Cooper. We are proud to be the first ever Community Engagement Partner of We Day Atlantic Canada.
Andrea is a graduate of the University of King’s College School of Journalism, where she received the George Earles Scholarship and the Hayward Family In-course Scholarship. She was also awarded the Governor General’s Silver Medal for being the top graduate of journalism in 2009.
After graduation, Andrea worked at SaskEnergy in Regina, where she first used her communication skills in the area CSR. She is happy to be back on the east coast and grateful for the opportunity to work with the lawyers and staff of McInnes Cooper to help make a meaningful difference in communities throughout Atlantic Canada.
Andrea volunteers with many of our community partners, including St. George’s YouthNet, Hope Blooms and Brigadoon.
