About Alex

Alex maintains a practice focused on construction, corporate and commercial law.

In his construction practice, Alex routinely advises clients involved in complex construction disputes, including claims brought under builders’ lien legislation. Alex also regularly assists in the drafting and negotiating of contracts for large-scale construction projects.

In his corporate and commercial practice, Alex acts for individuals, proprietorships, partnerships, and corporations in connection with the establishment of business structures, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, financings, purchase and sale transactions of various kinds, governance advice, and succession planning, among other matters.

Alex graduated with distinction from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, where he was the recipient of the Suncor Emerging Leaders Award. He then went on to study both common law and civil law at McGill University, where he received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) and Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L.) degrees. During his time at law school, Alex served on the editorial board of the McGill Journal of Dispute Resolution.

Alex is a member of the Saint John Law Society, the New Brunswick Law Society and the Canadian Bar Association.
