She has experience negotiating and drafting contracts, transactional agreements as well as other commercial agreements and has assisted clients in various corporate and commercial transactions including share and asset purchase and sale transactions and P3 projects. Adel has acted for borrowers and lenders in secured financings and regularly represents financial institutions in foreclosure matters.
Adel also provides assistance to clients with their wills and estates planning and business succession planning needs. Her skills drafting wills, testamentary trusts, powers of attorney and corporate documents. Adel has been ranked in Best Lawyers™ in Canada for her trusts and estates practice.
Before joining McInnes Cooper in 2010, Adel articled under Chief Justice Drapeau at the New Brunswick Court of Appeal and practiced in a medium-sized law firm in Moncton. She has also worked as a Senate Page and as a Guide Interpreter at Rideau Hall while completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Ottawa.
Adel is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Law Society of New Brunswick and the Law Society of New Brunswick’s Articling Committee. She stays involved in her community by sitting on various committees and boards.
