About Abigail

Abigail Herrington is a seasoned lawyer in our Saint John office with a practice focused in energy and natural resources law and construction litigation. Abigail frequently appears before the New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board for motions and hearings, where she has obtained experience in the energy regulation sphere and with electricity and renewable energy. She also has experience with petroleum pricing legislation and the natural gas sector. Abigail is eager to engage further with the energy sector in Atlantic Canada.

Aside from her regulatory practice, Abigail also has broad litigation experience and regularly advises on construction disputes, including acting for clients in litigation. As a dispute resolution counsel, she believes in a practical, collaborative, and direct approach and strives to make the legal process a more positive and approachable experience. Abigail has appeared as counsel at all levels of Court in New Brunswick.

Before joining McInnes Cooper, Abigail refined her abilities as a litigation lawyer over four years at a mid-sized firm, where she built a strong foundation in client advocacy and accumulated extensive court experience.

In her leisure, she enjoys sipping coffee, road-tripping with her rescue dog, Duke, and practicing hot yoga. These activities help her relax and recharge, providing a perfect balance to her professional life.
