McInnes Cooper is proud to have been selected as the 2022 recipient of Canada’s Volunteer Awards in the “Business Leader” category for the Atlantic region.
Canada’s Volunteer Awards recognize the contributions that individuals, groups, socially responsible businesses, social enterprises and innovative not-for-profit organizations make to their communities through volunteering.
These award were presented in Ottawa on Monday, Dec. 3 – International Volunteer Day, by Federal Minister of Children, Families and Social Development, Karina Gould.
“The stories and achievements of our Canada’s Volunteer Awards recipients are truly inspiring, and it is an honour to recognize and celebrate their accomplishments. I also want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of the volunteers across Canada who continue to contribute to finding new and innovative ways of making a difference in their communities.” – Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, Karina Gould
This recognition celebrates all of our members who actively support an average of 250 projects every year, with a focus on community impact, environment stewardship, pro-bono legal advice, wellness promotion, and diversity, equity & inclusion.
With this award comes a $5,000 grant to one of the firm’s valued community partners. With input and support from our CSR committees, we are proud to announce that McInnes Cooper will direct its grant to the Dollar a Day Foundation, a national organization that funds critical frontline mental health and addiction services.
Please join us in congratulating all award recipients – an extraordinary group of individuals, non-profits, and pro-social businesses that are creating immeasurable change in communities across the county. Click here to view the full list of Canada’s Volunteer Award recipients for 2022.
