An adult literacy program just received $20,000 in thanks to local community book sale held at Edith Cavell School this month. McInnes Cooper was proud to be a part of a successful fundraiser for Laubach Literacy New Brunswick that raised monies for the charity.
Used books, CDs and puzzles were donated by the public to local RBC Royal Bank and Sobeys stores and sold over the weekend to surprising revenues.
Executive Director, Deanna Allen-Champagne of the Laubach Literacy New Brunswick (LLNB), said, “We want to extend a big thanks to the 2,000 attendees, the hundreds of volunteers who worked tirelessly, as well as to our non-profit and corporate partners for their support of this event. We’re thrilled to announce that the sale raised over $20,000, which will be used to support and promote our free adult tutoring program, offered across the province. Thank you, everyone!””.
McInnes Cooper would like to congratulate all the efforts of the local volunteers and community partners for this great success.
