Since late 2015, Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (“CUPW”) have been in contract negotiations to reach a new agreement for about 50,000 workers. If an agreement is not reached, CUPW members will have a strike vote before the end of June, which could result in a legal strike or lockout by early July.
We are preparing for the possibility of a service disruption and are considering alternate delivery options, including electronic delivery and use of couriers. To ensure your McInnes Cooper account is maintained in good standing, follow the instructions printed on your invoice to make payments by phone or at your local office.
If you have any further questions or concerns, or if we can provide any further assistance in the event of a postal disruption kindly contact [email protected].
