Saturday, August 18th, Partner Tony Richardson will be a panelist at the 9:30-10:30 a.m. session From “Watch Dog” to “Super Monitor” and back! as they look at balancing the stakeholders interest from the trustee’s perspective. Then at 2:00-3:00 p.m. Romain Viel will be a panelist for Canada vs. Callidus which will examine the case of the Federal Court of Appeal in Canada v. Callidus Capital Corporation, 2017 and the appeals of the that case which will proceed before
the Supreme Court of Canada, with a hearing anticipated in the coming months. This
panel will describe this still very active case and its potential ramifications for lenders.
