About Robert

A member of our Business Dispute Resolution group, Bob has an extensive litigation practice in corporate commercial, including shareholder disputes and securities, coating failures (onshore and offshore), environment and insurance. Bob is recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada for his practice in Construction law, Corporate and Commercial Litigation, Insurance law, and Personal Injury Litigation. Bob has appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada and all levels of court in Nova Scotia. Bob received his undergraduate degree from Saint Mary’s University, law degree from Dalhousie University, and his Master of Laws degree from University College, London. He has lectured on litigation practice, ethics and techniques at seminars sponsored by the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society and the Continuing Legal Education Society of Nova Scotia. Bob is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society and the Canadian Bar Association. He is past Chair, Board of Governors, Saint Mary’s University and is an honorary Doctors of Laws recipient from that institution.
