About Jean-François

Jean-François is a litigation lawyer with a practice spanning insurance, construction litigation, class actions, health law and professional regulation.

Before returning to private practice, Jean-François was a legal manager for one of Canada’s largest insurance companies. In this role, he managed the flow of legal work for a team of lawyers, and supported files wherever needed, ranging from MVAs, to personal injury matters, to issues around Commercial General Liability policies.

Jean-François also previously worked for the Office of the Attorney General for the Province of New Brunswick. In that role, he gained extensive court experience, appearing before all levels of court in New Brunswick. Jean-François has represented various government clients on matters relating to construction litigation, judicial reviews, human rights complaints, personal injury, contract dispute, mining exploration, expropriation, health law, Coroner’s inquests and right to information requests. His breadth of government-side litigation experience offers him a unique understanding of litigation matters when representing clients.

Respected for his practice, Jean-François has been a repeat instructor for the Law Society of New Brunswick Bar course. He appreciates the opportunity to meet with new lawyers and discuss the practice of law.

In his spare time, Jean-François loves spending time with his young family, hiking, working out and playing golf. He is also a connoisseur of all things related to coffee and watches.
