On March 25, 2011 the Government invited interested organizations and members of the public to share their views on the subject in writing or electronically by email with the task force. Click here for a copy of the news release.
Click here for a copy of the brief invitation published soliciting comments, including contact information. Issues that the task force will examine include:
•Rules protecting employees and pensioners;
•Ensuring that the long-term sustainability of pension promises made to workers is honoured and protected; and
•Reviewing the structures meant to protect pension plans to ensure they are as effective as possible.
No deadline has been given for submissions. The task force will report back to the Government with its findings and recommendations.
