Melody is extensively involved in the organization and management of insurance files, as well as some personal injury and construction files. She drafts affidavits of documents, assembles Schedule A documents, requests and organizes discovery undertakings from opposing parties, prepares medical indices and summaries, assists with Discovery and trial preparation and conducts litigation searches. She is also responsible for preparing Records on Motion and Trial Records.
Melody has worked in the legal industry for over 20 years. She earned her Paralegal Studies diploma from Scotia Academy after completing her Bachelors of History and Religious Studies from St. Thomas University. Melody has since continued her education, having completed a number of professional insurance courses through the Insurance Institute of New Brunswick. She also completed the Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker Program and worked as an insurance broker for 2 years.
