About Maddy

Maddy is an associate in our Halifax office with a practice specializing in immigration law. Maddy represents both individuals and businesses with respect to their immigration needs. Maddy is passionate about helping clients with applications for temporary residency, permanent residency, and citizenship. She also supports employers seeking to recruit and retain international talent. She offers assistance with Labour Market Impact Assessments (“LMIAs”) and specialized work permits. In serving her corporate clients, Maddy brings her background experience and education in labour and employment law to provide well-rounded and comprehensive legal advice.

Before joining McInnes Cooper, Maddy clerked for the justices of the Nova Scotia Supreme Court.

Maddy is a member of the Board of Directors for Solid Grounds Legal Clinic, a Halifax-based legal clinic that provides pro-bono legal assistance to individuals who have been affected by domestic or intimate partner violence. She proudly facilitates the partnership between the Clinic and McInnes Cooper’s Collective Social Responsibility (“CSR”) program.
