Louis Philippe (“LP”) Thériault, CD, JD, is a lawyer in McInnes Cooper’s Moncton office with a practice focused on Corporate & Business, wills & estate, and Municipal Law. Having entered the legal profession later in his career, he offers the seasoned perspective that comes from extensive public service and leadership experience.

Before practicing law, LP served 11.5 years with the RCMP in New Brunswick, working in patrol, general investigations, and financial crimes. He continues his long‑tenured service in the Canadian Army Reserve, where he holds the rank of Major and has contributed in diverse capacities across three provinces. This background informs a steady, practical approach to complex organizational and regulatory issues.

LP’s career has included roles with a criminal law firm, the New Brunswick Human Rights Commission, and the Bureau of Pensions Advocates at Veterans Affairs Canada, giving him a deep understanding of both public‑sector and client‑focused environments.
