About Katie

Katie is completing her articles at McInnes Cooper’s St. John’s office. She is interested in learning about all areas of the law.

Prior to law school, Katie received her Master’s in Earth Sciences and worked in the local energy sector, as well as with Conservation Corps Newfoundland and Labrador, a local environmental non-profit organization.

During law school, Katie participated in the Jessup International Law Moot and completed a Judicial Internship at the New Brunswick Court of Appeal. She worked with the New Brunswick Aboriginal Peoples Council researching missing person’s legislation in support of MMIWG and volunteered with the Fredericton Girl Guides of Canada chapter. Katie was on the Dean’s list and was awarded several scholarships and prizes, including the J. Gordon Petrie Q.C Prize in Labour and Employment and the Bryden Family Prize in Administrative Law.
