Katie is a litigation associate who maintains a broad practice in civil litigation and administrative law.
Katie began her legal career at McInnes Cooper, where she articled and was subsequently hired as an associate in the Advocacy group. She then spent three years working as a research lawyer for the Court of Appeal of Newfoundland and Labrador. Working closely with the judges and staff across a wide range of legal matters gave Katie an appreciation for the complexities of litigation. This experience gives Katie a unique perspective on the judicial reasoning process, which informs the analytical skills she brings to her work today.
Her professional journey also includes roles in both the local energy sector and with an environmental non-profit organization, giving her a well-rounded understanding of the intersection between industry and environmental advocacy. With a scientific background and broad experience across industries, Katie has robust analytical abilities and an approachable and practical style to working with clients.
