About Deeksha
Deeksha Bhaskar is an articled clerk at McInnes Cooper’s Halifax office. With a growing interest in corporate and immigration law, and over eight years’ experience operating a small business, she draws on her diverse skill set to respond to clients’ complex legal needs.
Deeksha earned her Juris Doctor from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University. Originally from India, Deeksha moved to Halifax in 2015 to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Saint Mary’s University, where she also completed a Certificate in Human Resource Management. Throughout university, Deeksha owned and operated a restaurant in downtown Halifax, and her experience running this business and navigating immigration processes for her staff and family inspired her legal career. Deeksha now brings her longstanding commitment to client service to her legal work.
Outside of the office, Deeksha is a committed volunteer. She is a former student leader and currently serves as a Director of Partners for Care, where she chairs the Governance & Nominating committees.
