Christa is a Partner based in our Moncton office. A seasoned civil litigator, Christa has appeared before the Court of Queen’s Bench on many occasions, the New Brunswick Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. Christa’s practice covers a range of areas, including administrative law, commercial litigation, municipal litigation and employment law. In particular, Christa has deep experience advising and representing insurers in matters of all types, including life and disability, Section B claims and all types of casualty claims (auto, home and commercial risks). Christa has been recognized by Best Lawyers™ in Canada for her practice in Insurance Law since 2014 and Personal Injury Litigation since 2012, and was named Best Lawyers Personal Injury Litigation “Lawyer of the Year” for 2018 and 2014 in Moncton. She is also ranked in the Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory.
Christa is a member of the Law Society of New Brunswick, the Canadian Bar Association, the Moncton Area Lawyers’ Association and the New Brunswick Law Foundation. She is also a Lay Councillor for the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of New Brunswick, member of Board of Trustees and Bursary Committee at Université de Moncton, past judge in various moot court competitions including the Laskin, and past member of the Provincial Board for the Children’s Wish Foundation. Christa was appointed as Queen’s Counsel in 2016.
