About Carolyn

Carolyn has a corporate law practice, focused in the areas of finance and securities, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions. She has assisted clients in numerous acquisitions, private placement financings, incorporations, and other general corporate transactions. Carolyn works with and advises a wide variety of businesses, including established private issuers and publicly traded companies.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Carolyn worked in the legal department of a financial institution. She regularly draws on her experiences working in-house to create business value for her clients.

Carolyn has a passion for solving problems while working collaboratively. While in law school, she competed at the Canadian National Negotiation Competition and received an award for her process management and analysis skills. Recently, Carolyn was invited back to the competition as a guest judge in both 2020 and 2021. She is currently the co-coach of the UNB Canadian National Negotiation Competition team.

Carolyn is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society and the Canadian Bar Association. Outside of the office, Carolyn regularly participates in McInnes Cooper’s CSR initiatives and enjoys traveling and curling.
