McInnes Cooper welcomes Counsel Marie-Claude Blais, QC to our Moncton office

McInnes Cooper is honoured to announce that Marie-Claude Blais, QC has joined the firm as counsel in our Moncton office.
Marie-Claude was most recently a cabinet member of the former David Alward government in New Brunswick. She is a member of the New Brunswick Law Society since 1998 and is also a member of the Barreau du Quebec.
Marie-Claude was elected to the NB legislature in 2010. She was appointed a member of Cabinet and Queen’s Counsel in October 2010. She became the first woman in New Brunswick history to serve as Justice Minister and as Attorney General. In June 2012, she was named Minister responsible for the Women’s Equality Branch. In September 2013, she was appointed Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development.
Marie-Claude’s return to practice will be focused mainly on Corporate & Business law as well as Real Estate law.
