Jane O'Neill and Bernie Miller receive Queen's Counsel Designation

McInnes Cooper is pleased to announce the appointment of both Bernie Miller and Jane O’Neill as Queen’s Counsel.
The QC designation is awarded annually by the Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia on the recommendation of the Nova Scotia Minister of Justice to a select group of lawyers, and represents the ultimate recognition of professional integrity, good character and outstanding contributions to the practice of law.
Bernie’s practice focuses on environmental and aboriginal law in the energy and natural resources sector. From 2006 to 2013, Bernie served as the Managing Partner/CEO of McInnes Cooper and recently returned to McInnes Cooper after serving in a public service role.
Highly regarded in her practice area, Jane has a reputation as one of the leading commercial litigators in Nova Scotia. Jane advises clients in all aspects of dispute resolution including commercial litigation, contract disputes, shareholder disputes, securities litigation, class actions, appeals, judicial review and alternative dispute resolution.
