McInnes Cooper is saddened to announce the passing of Tony Richardson, partner in our Fredericton office.
Tony was a key contributor, playing a major role in the firm at large, being a leader in the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Group, a former Fredericton office lead partner and serving six years on the firm’s board of directors. He was a talented, well-liked and respected lawyer with over 25 years of experience at McInnes Cooper.
Tony was fluently bilingual and represented clients in both official languages. He obtained a law degree from l'Universite de Moncton in 2000 and attended Universite Sainte-Anne for his undergraduate degree. Tony was well recognized for his practice in insolvency law and commercial litigation. He was a leading insolvency lawyer in Atlantic Canada providing strategic representation to major clients in complex matters. His clients respected and appreciated his dedication and practical approach to representing their interests. While doing so, he was a great mentor and teacher to younger professionals across the firm.
Our deepest condolences are sent to Tony’s family and friends, and particularly to his wife Erin and son Hayden, and all of his loved ones and colleagues. We have lost a remarkable person, lawyer and friend. He will be missed.
