Former McInnes Cooper CEO and Managing Partner Bernie Miller Appointed NS Deputy Minister of Planning and Priorities

HALIFAX, NS January 13, 2014 – McInnes Cooper Partner Bernie Miller, who stepped down as the firm’s CEO and managing partner on December 1, 2013, has been appointed deputy minister of Planning and Priorities for the Government of Nova Scotia.
“Practicing law and helping clients succeed is a passion upon which I have built a career, and this is an opportunity to devote a portion of my career to public service,” said Mr. Miller. “I look forward to working with the members of Executive Council in developing and advancing the policies needed to ensure Nova Scotia is on a path to success.”

Mr. Miller’s appointment is effective February 17, 2014.
