McInnes Cooper is proud to support the 2017 Scotiabank Giller Light Bash on November 20, 2017 hosted by Scotiabank at the Atlantica Hotel in support of Frontier College.
The event features a panel discussion of the shortlisted Giller titles among some of Halifax’s most passionate community leaders, authors and literature fans.
This year’s panelists are award winning author and independent book seller Sheree Fitch, President and CEO of the IWK Foundation Jennifer Gillivan, CEO of A for Adventure Jan Sebastian LaPierre, editor of The Coast Kyle Shaw, and Halifax poet laureate Rebecca Thomas.
The Giller prize was established by Toronto businessman Jack Rabinovich in honour of his late literary journalist wife, Doris Giller. The prize awards $100,000 annually to the author of the best Canadian novel or short story collection published in English and $10,000 to each of the finalists.
