Profile

Tamzin’s practice includes construction, estates and trusts planning, professional liability claims, insurance defence and general commercial litigation. She has a particular interest in and knowledge of estate planning for families planning for disabled beneficiaries.  She has appeared before the Nova Scotia Supreme Court, the Supreme Court of Prince Edward Island and the Prince Edward Island Court of Appeal. She has also been involved in insurance and construction-related arbitrations and mediations including a series relating to construction of the Confederation Bridge.

 

Tamzin is Branch Chair of the National Construction Section of the Canadian Bar Association She is also a member of the Construction Associations of Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia, the Canadian Home Builders’ Association (PE) and the Trade HERizons Advisory Committee— a project that promotes and supports non‐traditional careers in trades and technology for Island women.
