Rémy Boudreau is a seasoned litigator with a practice focused in insurance defence. Well acquainted with all aspects of professional disputes, he regularly represents insurers and other professionals in casualty and professional negligence claims.
Recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada for his practice in insurance law, Rémy also advises clients on matters related to errors and omissions, indemnification, managing risk and disputes over liability and obligations. His practice extends to commercial and asset recovery and insolvency litigation matters. He assists financial institutions realize on their security by selling insolvent companies’ assets and works with receivers and trustees appointed pursuant to the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act to restructure or liquidate companies’ assets.
Rémy is a member of the Law Society of New Brunswick, the Canadian Bar Association, the Greater Moncton Chamber of Commerce, and the Association des juristes d’expression française du Nouveau-Brunswick. He currently teaches a bar course in civil procedure for the Law Society of New Brunswick. In 2008, he was commission counsel for the Commission of Inquiry into Pathology Services at the Miramichi Regional Health Authority. Rémy previously served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Georges L. Dumont Hospital Foundation and as president of the Red Cross Moncton Branch Council.
A devoted hockey fan, Rémy played at the major, junior and varsity levels for a number of years, and is now a hockey and soccer coach. His experience with team sports has helped shape his determined approach and resolute attitude when representing clients.
