Profile

Peter is Counsel in our Halifax office with over forty years experience in property law with expertise in acquisition, financing, leasing, municipal, planning and real property law. He is involved in all aspects of residential, commercial and condominium development. Peter has appeared numerous times before the Utility and Review Board (and its predecessors) respecting the planning aspects of large commercial projects including apartment buildings, shopping centres, residential subdivisions and office towers. He is recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada for his practice in Real Estate Law and has also been named one of Canada’s 500 Leading Lawyers in Lexpert, a publication put out by the American Lawyer Media.

 

Peter is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Nova Scotia Barrister’ Society. He is a past member of the Board of Governors, Dalhousie University and the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Peter is a past president of Dalhousie Alumni Association, a past Founding President of the Dalhousie Black and Gold Club. He also has contributed to the community by serving on the Board of Directors for the Halifax-Dartmouth YMCA and the Special Olympics.

 

Peter is presently the Chair of the Board of the Halifax Stanfield International Airport.
