Profile

Peter is a Partner in our Halifax office whose practice has evolved into large scale class action litigation. He is lead counsel in Manuge v. Her Majesty The Queen, representing disabled veterans in a complex benefit claim against the Government of Canada. In addition to the disabled veterans class action, Peter provides general advice to both plaintiffs and defendants on class proceedings.

 

Peter also specializes in pension and benefits litigation and regularly provides advice to employees, trustees, and members of pension and health plans. As a small business owner himself, Peter also provides both general corporate and employment advice to small and medium sized businesses and is a part of McInnes Cooper’s Atlantic One Call legal team.

 

Peter regularly presents on class action issues and to pension and benefit industry groups. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Pension and Benefits National Subsection, Chair of the CBA Nova Scotia Communications and Public Relations Committee, and a part-time lecturer at the Schulich School of Law.
