Orlando was born in El Carmen, N.S., Colombia. He attended Universidad Industrial de Santander in Colombia, obtaining a Civil Law Degree. He practiced as a Sole Practitioner for 2 years in criminal trials, acting as defense attorney and third party proceedings in civil liability cases. He is currently registered in the National Registry of Lawyers of the Superior Council of Judicature in Colombia.

Orlando came to Canada in 2007 and started his own business managing 12 employees throughout New Brunswick. In 2008, he worked for Zed & Company in Saint John, NB as a legal clerk, and he was involved in all steps for real estate transactions and translated legal documents. Orlando became a Canadian citizen in 2011, and he graduated from the University of New Brunswick Law School in 2012. He is interested in practicing Corporate Commercial Law. Orlando reads and writes fluently in English and Spanish, he is a ballroom and Latin dancing instructor, and he plays soccer at UNBSJ every year.
