About Yazan

Yazan is a lawyer in our Halifax office with a broad practice in both advocacy and corporate law. His work spans the areas of governance, litigation, Aboriginal and Indigenous law, business law, and public law. He assists clients across a variety of industries including government, not-for-profits, renewable energy, and start-ups. Yazan specifically enjoys working with clients to resolve disputes, develop litigation strategy, improve governance, and support their emerging businesses.

Yazan has represented clients before the Nova Scotia Provincial Court and the Nova Scotia Supreme Court. During law school, he worked at the Dalhousie Legal Aid Clinic and was elected by his peers to serve as Vice President of the Law Students’ Society. He also competed in the Smith Shield Moot and won the Leonard Kitz Prize in Advocacy. Yazan was awarded the Judge Fran Potts Award at graduation for his academic excellence and his contribution to law school.

Yazan is an active member of the Canadian Muslim Lawyers Association. In his spare time, he volunteers with various local community organizations and enjoys biking and rock climbing.
