Profile

Les’ practice emphasizes insolvency and restructuring law, including receivership, bankruptcy and reorganizations under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (Canada) and the Companies’ Creditors Arrangements Act (Canada). Les represents major chartered banks and other financial institutions, as well as owners and other secured and unsecured creditors. Les also practices extensively in commercial and corporate transactions, construction and engineering law, banking law, pension law, and business related civil litigation.  He has practiced before all levels of court in New Brunswick, and in the Federal Court of Canada and the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as appearances before arbitration boards, administrative tribunals and municipal and provincial governments.

 

Les is the past President of Law Society of New Brunswick, past lecturer in Construction Law and lecturer in Law for Professional Engineers at UNB Law School.  Member of the New Brunswick bar since 1969 (Q.C. 1987).
