Profile

Leah is an Associate in our Halifax office with a practice focusing on labour and employment law.

 

She graduated from McGill Law School with two law degrees, an LL.B. and a BCL. While at McGill Law she was the recipient of the Allen Ash Memorial Award for highest standing in business law, and also worked for former Supreme Court Justice, the Honourable Claire L’Heureux-Dube. Before attending McGill, Leah graduated from Dalhousie University where she received a BA (First Class Honours) in History and International Development Studies, and was awarded the Dalhousie Development Award.

 

Leah has extensive experience in sport; she played soccer with Canada’s National Junior Team, and represented Canada at the World University Games in Turkey. At Dalhousie, Leah was the Captain of both the varsity hockey and soccer teams. She was awarded soccer team MVP, CIS All-Canadian, the Dalhousie President’s Award, and the CIS Marion Hilliard Award.

 

Leah has travelled throughout Asia, Europe and the Middle East, and volunteered with Habitat for Humanity in Guatemala. She speaks conversational French.

 

Leah is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society.
