Katie is an associate in our St. John’s office, with a developing practice focused primarily on dispute resolution, privacy and defamation, labour and employment, and intellectual property. Katie also looks forward to expanding her practice to include entertainment law, where her extensive involvement in arts and athletics gives her a unique understanding of her clients’ needs, passions, and businesses, in order to provide them with excellent service.
Katie obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of New Brunswick, where she was involved with various groups within the faculty, including Student Council, Social Committee, Curriculum Committee, and the Diversity & Inclusion Committee. She participated in the UNB Mock NHL Salary Arbitration in 2015, and as an arbitrator in 2016. She was also an active volunteer with the UNB Student Accessibility Centre.
Katie is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Law Society of New Brunswick, and l’Association des juristes d’expression française du Nouveau-Brunswick, and she currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Organization for the Development of Artists (Connexion). In her spare time, Katie plays several instruments, and enjoys running, yoga, snowboarding, and photography.
