Profile

Jon is an Associate in our Halifax office with our Corporate and Business Law group and practices in the areas of corporate and commercial law, corporate transactions, debt and equity financing, and intellectual property. Jon has acted for lenders and borrowers in financing transactions, and vendors and purchasers in purchase and sale of businesses. He has provided advice to clients on regulatory compliance issues. Jon is also a member of the firm’s Entrepreneurial Services group where he acts for high growth businesses, assisting them with corporate organization, intellectual property management, and financing.

 

Jon holds a BA in Anthropology and Political Science from McGill University and is a graduate of the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University, where he received his J.D. in 2011. Jon joined the firm as an Associate in 2012 after articling with the firm in 2011.

 

Jon is an accomplished Scuba Diver, an activity which has taken him across the world as a volunteer for a marine conservation agency. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society.
