Jeff is a corporate paralegal in our Halifax office. Having joined McInnes Cooper in August 2009, Jeff is focused on general corporate transactions and reorganizations with specific emphasis in the formation (incorporation/amalgamation) of Nova Scotia companies—both limited and ULC companies, Nova Scotia Limited Partnerships, and Nova Scotia Partnerships and business names.
His experience translates into the coordination of the extra-provincial registration of each of the above noted entities across Canada, and registrations under the Personal Property Registries across the Maritime provinces. He is experienced with the import of companies to Nova Scotia, as well as the export of companies from Nova Scotia to other Canadian jurisdictions. Additionally, Jeff’s areas of expertise are used in conjunction with minute book reviews and rectification, as well as conducting due diligence searches and preparing due diligence reports for finance or acquisition transaction matters. Originally from Clark’s Harbour, Nova Scotia, Jeff attended CompuCollege (now known as Eastern College), where he successfully completed the paralegal program. Prior to joining McInnes Cooper, Jeff spent 17 years in the seafood industry, working as assistant manager within the areas of lobster processing and sales.
